battery light prob

I have a weird prob with my 04 ep3, the battery light is on. Ive changed the alternator, battery, ground and the fuse is ok. I really dont have a idea how to deal with this.


btw no check engine and speedo is working.

If you didn't put a Honda alternator in it that is probably your problem. I did the same thing and I just deal with the light. If you want a little more infer on the why...let me know.

The alternator brand makes NO difference! Check your ELD because it is most likely your problem.

That light is attached to a meter which reads your alternator output. If it's not charging properly it will throw the light on. The ELD regulates the power output of the alternator and when it goes bad the light will come on.

I'm sorry that you replaced all of that for such a cheap fix.......

(Btw....a bad ELD will fry a battery pretty quick!!)

My battery light is stuck on as well even after I swapped it with a brand new ELD. I just purchased the car so hopefully wiring isn't at fault but I guess I'll find out soon enough.
