over the period of years i was able to obtain all these camshafts and wasn't sure which cams are which due to the fact that they're all look almost the same. So today I was able to take a really close look at it and was able to tell them apart. So here are my finding and hope this will help those of you who have problem knowing which cam you have.
Here are my collection of K-series Vtec cams

thanks to Katman, finding on the marking on both k20 & k24 cams this should help you to identify rather you have a k20 or k24 camshafts. P.S Dont even bother with the R# it only was used for reference when it was made.
Here is a DC5 02-05 marking its the same for A2,Z3

In this picture this will show you if you have either a Z1/ITR cam vs Z3 based on the ring at the end of the camshaft.

Here is the marking to tell if its a TSX cams. (04-08 marking are the same)

I had tired to set them in the same position to be able to view the lobes of each cam.

Here is a Close up photo of the Lobes (Sorry for the flash) the one on the Left is k20a2 and k20??
If you look at the cam on the left (k20a2) both Primary and Secondary lobes are actually smaller then the cam on the Right. We all know that the k20a2 is the weakest of all k20 cams right, it wouldn't make sense to really down grade for the future cams like the Z1/Z3/ITR.
Based on this alone it tells me that mystery cam on the right can not be the same k20a2, yet in fact they're most likely z3 cams. due to the fact that i dont have an ENDENT on the RING as shown above with the Z1 vs Z3 comparison photo. If i am wrong please correct me as so.

Here is a Comparison between a K20Z3 vs 04-05 Tsx camshaft

04-05 TSX cam (left) k20Z3 (right)
Right of the bat i can see that the TSX cam have a bigger Primary compare to the k20 Primary. From hondata it stated that The TSX has large primary (low lift lobes) on the intake side. These lobes are larger than the RSX-S or ITR which show in pic below. The secondary lobe on the intake is smaller than its k20 camshaft.

So in conclusion after looking at all the info online it look like I have a set of K20a2,k20z3 , and 04-05 tsx camshaft :mtongue: I hope this info is helpful to identify the cam better.

Reason I didn't do the exhaust cam comparison is because all k20 ex cam are the same and tsx 04-08 Tsx ex are the same.
