Right guys were do i start!!! Well firstly HI lol my names steve and i'm from the UK.

I've been browsing your forum over the last few months and find it inspiring as there is a lot of nice motors on here.

I've always been VW crazy and i friend of mine was too until he had a EP3 and said he wouldnt go back and then took me out for a spin in his and i was just amazed by them!! He now has a FN2 supercharged. So that was it my MK3 Golf 16V Anniversary 1 of only 150 was up for sale and that sold to the first viewer for £3000 then EP3 search time began ;-)

So here are the details:
-2002 pre-facelift
-100k miles
-Exedy stage 1 clutch
-BC Racing coilovers
-Toyosports exhaust

I've also had my roof 3M carbon wrapped to match my dash, engine bay, and wheel centre caps!! i will post a picture of this very soon also.

Thought i'd show you guys a few pics of my last couple of cars,

My MK3 Golf 16v Anniversary (only 150 made): I miss this car, A lot of history with it been featured on clarksons Heaven & Hell DVD also (top gear uk), So much attention when i had it on the club stand Staffs VW at Tatton Park 2014 was immaculate one of the best MK3's left in the uk :-(
2.0 16V 170bhp with full Jetex Exhaust System and K&N filter, lowered 50/60 etc replaced quite alot on this but helps when you work VW i suppose lol

Then my Citroen Saxo VTR that i had 8 years and replaced pretty much everything
Complete suspension overhaul and lowered 70/80
Complete engine overhaul using phase 2 VTR engine and piper racing cam & ECU remap
Magnex exhaust system and decat
Phase 2 Interior etc
Way to much to list.

Miss this car alot use to pop and bang alot and 0-60 in 6 seconds 137mph top speed.

Welcome to the forum, really liking those wheels man.

I'm new myself and had the same impression as you from the ep3. its a fun little car with good potential. I too came from a different platform.

got any plans for it in the future?

The early R is the only EP body I've ever liked. I really dislike the big bumpers.

I would love to go rotrex supercharger but that is a lot of ££££'s its self lol but i will see what i decide at some point this year but at the moment its plenty powerful enough with 246bhp 0-60 in 5 seconds.

correct me if im wrong but the 2002 ep3 type r comes with a k20a2, yes?

It's more like all EDM ep3r's came with k20a2's. The JDM ones came with a K20a

Thats correct K20A2 Engine 200BHP standard.
As stated the specs are:
*AEM V1 induction kit
*Exedy stage 1 clutch
*Toyosports exhaust system

Nice, so your probably making roughly 220-225 to the wheels? Thats gatta be a fun ep3
