Is the K20a3 worth putting in to ?

I just got a 04 si hatch, bone stock. Is it worth doing any mods to it ? I know i want to, but im just thinking is it worth my time and money ? i would love to boost it up to 250 - 300 whp but dont know where to start. any suggestions? im all ears.. if this becomes of something ill start to post pics.
