well, the gas light came on just as I hit 297 miles. Im usually good for anothe 50-60 miles after the light comes on.

I was just thinking, what do you call gas milage someplace where they use kilomerers. kilometerage?

I guess you could call it Gasilometer or petrometer or something like that. lol Anyways, I had no idea you could drive for another 50+ miles after the gas light comes on. That would suck to get stuck somewhere but can anyone else prove this claim?

I'm not quite sure, but I believe that people in countries that use the Metric system actually calculate their economy measured in liters per fixed number of kilometers (I cannot remember the exact number off the top of my head...it's for every 100 kilometers or something like that).

Isn't it hard on the engine to run it completely out of gas???

I just figured out my mileage the other day, after having my first oil change last week. I went 271 miles on 11.293 gallons of gas... comes out to roughly 24 mpg. I drive aggressively a good bit of the time, so I think its pretty much right on par from the factory specs. I was getting around 20-22 about 1000 miles before the oil change, so I'm happy to see that it's gone up since then.
