2003 si expansion valve

Is the expansion valve located behind the dash..? Any info would be helpful.

If you mean the AC expansion valve, then yes it is behind the dash, behind the glove box mounted on the AC module. Find a factory manual on line, it has real good illustrations of how to disassemble the stuff under the dash.
