If you're going to go with an 18'' wheel then you should definately go with the 215-35-18 size tire. If you ask the shop that you're getting your wheels from to do a tire size calculation, you'll see the a 215-35-18 is actually smaller than the stock 195-60-15. It's only about .3 of an inch so its not really that big a deal. But you should not lose any power, and depending on what type of rim you choose, it might ever be lighter than the stock rim.
Hope this helps.

yeah tu fiftean fotees of course 18".

IMHO these provide the best rim protection and outside diameter closest to stock.

Yokohama lists the outside diameter of their tires (as do other tire manufacturers including Mich).

You can use this formula to calulate overall tire diameter. Width x .aspect ratio x 2 divided by 25.4 + wheel size. Using the stock tire size of 195/60/15=195 x .60 x 2 divided by 25.4 + 15 = 24.212. Buy using this you can see the 18 inch tire closest to stock diameter is 225/35/18. It's only .012 smaller then stock. 215/35/18 = 23.925 or .287 smaller. 215/40/18=24.771 or .559 larger then stock. and finaly the 225/40/18= 25.086 or .874 larger then stock. IMO if i was going with 18's i would get the 225/35/18.

also count on the fact that most 18's won't have that "new size" very long.

or at least they SHOULDN'T!
