Sorry if this seems a little trivial, but when your talking about a heavy rim vs. a light one, what weight do you use to classify them?

me personally i consider anything over 19lbs kinda heavy. 13-19lbs average, and anything under 13lbs is pretty light. jus a general idea nothin special:)

Anything over 15lbs to me is heavy. 19lbs is a freaking boat anchor.

And remember that larger diameter wheels pushes that weight more toward the outside, so that will compound the acceleration woes with a heavy rim. Rotational weight is the worst there is.

yeah, jus a rough idea. the stock wheels are about 19lbs. the ace spades might not be lightweights but they they look good, very Type Rish:cool:

how about an 8lb wheel and a tire 1.2 lbs lighter than stock, think I'll feel the difference :p :p :p

Wonder if I'll notice a difference between the konig tantrum's (19lbs) but they're 17x7....vs 15x6....lot more mass.....probably wont slow me down that much....nothing noticable.....???

Wouldn't the wheel weight greatly affect breaking ability? I am curious.BTW both Centerline and Velox have come out with an 11. something lbs. wheel. Have to find a link.
