Does anyone have any experience with these products? They are basically a clear bra that you put down on your bumper or the front of your hood to protect the paint. You can wax them and everything.

If you've used them, did you put it on youreself? And, how do they hold up?

I just got a 3M kit installed on my car yesterday. Very sweet so far. I was really impressed how invisible it looks on silver. The shop I had it done at has the computer program that cuts out the kit with a vinyl cutting machine. That is the only way to have it done. I would deffinantly get it. Mine was $175 and that included half the hood, mirror caps and 1/4 fender caps.

I have the 3M kit on my S2000. I had it installed so it was done right with no bubbles in it.

So I guess that's 2 thumbs up then. :D I guess I'm going to take the plunge. Thanks.

Try xpel.com (http://www.xpel.com/)

I've been having trouble finding a place for Stoneguard since you can't buy direct. I have also found a few other place online. They pretty much all use the same 3M stuff. Just do a google search for "automotive paint protection" or 3M Scotchcal.

I got mine done:

About half the hood covered
front fender quarter panels
headlights
front bumper
front of mirrors
door edges
piece for rear bumper

$640 installed.

You should get it installed for sure; not something you want to try yourself.
