Hey guys, my name is Varun R. and i just got my first import. i never use to like Honda because i drove a Ford Mustang V6 98. I was 15 when i got that car. So 4 1/2 years later i wanted something with a different look that no one would expect me to get. I orginally went to get a used s2000 but it was already sold. next i heard they had a prelude 99. That was also sold. Next the dealer said hows about a civic Si. I said nah i already got a while one under my name already. But he said this one has a different set up. When he showed me the car, i was like i want it then. i got my Civic Si for the base price of $17,897.00 that most of you guys paid, except mine came with a few mods from Honda Factory. They hooked up for me. :p I got Injen Ram Air Intake system, Team AeroSpeed RSGT wheels with Pirelli 215 Tires, Lowering Springs and Chanber kits. O and the best parts is whatever parts i put on my car as long as i order it from Honda's Store and if they install it , it is covered under my warranty. Anyways i am still breakingin my engine. I plan on buying Spoon axcel back, spoon staright pipe, and spoon racing headers. I dunno if i should get the $900.00 headers or the $1500.00 headers from spoon? I told everyone that cracked on my mustang i am going to come back hard on them. Watch and see. So far i got there attention. those punks are sweatingm y sh*t! EPhatch! Lets show does VTEC punks what i-VTEH is all about. I will soon be posting my EP beating a 2000 Si coupe. I am also building a web site on street racing. Coming Soon. I will more have more pics of my mods as i go along.

i would have posted sooner, but it took my a couple days to load that pic.:D j/j

congrats on the purchase and welcome o the site. i too used to drive a 1995 5.0 mustang GT, and sold it for my Si. all my mustangbuddies ragged on my b/c i went from my 12 sec car to an import. that was until i raced my buddy in his 95 GT stock and made him look like he was riding a 5hp moped next to me :p

hehe

Looks like a Neuspeed Race drop...just look under the car and see if you can read the text on the springs...or check the color if anything.

2fastcivic
02-03-2003, 03:48 PM
i dont think that is a neuspeed race drop. i have the race drop w/ 18's and its not that low. that drop looks lower than the neuspeed race.

so did you car come with springs or coilovers?

!@#$%
02-03-2003, 08:38 PM
when i think purple springs, i think intrax. they usually have 2'' drops at least.

i guess we all know which child is the favorite

TriniTurismo
02-04-2003, 12:11 PM
They are lowering springs and they are not from nus-speed....they are a 2'' drop for sure, but i got to still look at my paper work from honda to see what kinda springs they are.... SPRINGS NOT COILOVERS....

Intrax...definitely.

http://www.intraxsuspension.com/media/prod_super_sport_springs.jpg

Super Sport kits provide aggressive drivers with substantially stiffer spring rates and some of the lowest fitments available for street cars, Super Sport springs lower vehicles 2.25"-2.5", providing race car looks with handling to match. All Super Sport kits are made with the same quality material and design standards used with our lowering sport spring kits. Super Sport lowering springs are designed to be used with aftermarket sport shock absorbers. Minor modifications or camber kits may be required.

Those intrax comes off the website, Intrax (http://www.spyeng.com/intrax.asp) Pretty nice drop, but i think TEIN S techs offer the best ride height/quality! Intrax offers very low drops not bad...Nice stuff..;)
