Check this cool "toy" out!!

Gtech Pro Competition Performance Meter
http://www.gtechpro.com/

One of the places to buy this is Here (http://www.nipponpower.com/electronic/meter/gtech.html)

You can get the User Manual Here (http://www.gtechpro.com/downloads.html) .
(Get the v2.0 manual)

Not a bad "toy" for $250, huh?

Would like to here from people who have used this product or the older version...

What do you think?? Especially for someone who dosen't have time to go to the track, or wants something 'to do' with his car buddies...

Maybe for my Birthday this month......

Old news. It's been around for a LONG TIME. Not very accurate, but it's cool none the less.

I'm not really sure, but I think it needs to be used on a perfectly flat surface or it wouldn't be very accurate.

You can some reviews of it here (http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Miscellaneous/GTechPro.htm)

Most people seem to say that it produces some ok results and some far out results. I think it would be ok for measuring before and after results of a mod but you cannot really take the results it produces at face value.

Well the neat thing about the GTECH Pro is that it factors in wind speed and rolling resistance unlike a dyno so you get really true numbers. Numbers translated into what you will feel on the street. I used the GTECH pro in my car and it read a little less than the dyno did. Naturally, as the dyno does not factor in rolling resistance. I think it is a really cool device!!!!

It's still not as accurate as a 1/4 mile track. I don't know about HP numbers, but as far as quarter mile times, it's always off by .3 to .6. (Showing faster of course.)

I'll stick to dynos and the track.
