how long do you think you'll have your '02 Si?

i'm guessing i'll be driving mine for a long time...maybe 10 years or so. the styling won't look dated for quite some time. in fact, it'll take 3-5 years for other manufacturers to catch up.

but i don't know how long the car itself will last...15 years??

change all your fluids regularly and your engine will last longer than your chassis

Same here bro, I am going for the long haul! I am shooting for 12 years. After that, who knows. But I know after that much time it is not going to be as pretty and perfect as it is now. Eventually my poor baby will start to show her age! Sigh, I dread the thought of what it will look like in even just a few years. I mean I am going to take good care of it, but you can not prevent every door bang in a parking lot. It is going to happen, it is just a matter of time. Sigh......

I plan on keeping this car a very long time. I'm storing it in the winters, and I plan to invest a lot of cash into it. There's no better feeling than having a car that's payed off. If you're always updating to a new ride...you'll never know that feeling. It can be an endless money pit.

Until I can:

A> Buy a type R here in America

or

B> Move to Europe and buy a type R

Just traded my 97 Civic LX (109K) for the Si. Was looking at CR-V's too but demand is too high right now. I may actually pick up a CR-V in a year or 2 and keep the Si as a backup/weekend car.
