Just wanted to know what everyone thinks I should get. I have an extra $5,000 to spend on my car. Keep in mind that my EP is completely stock. I was thinking of getting some coilovers and some wheels to start, but i'm not sure what wheels I really want to get. I like VOLK alot but i'm not sure what model from Volk or what color(my EP is silver). I'm not sure if the bronze would look like on my car (in the TE-37's). Anyway, if anbody that has the A2 swap in this forum knows where to get one cheap, anywhere except ebay, let my know. Thats what i'd really like to do.

Thanks a lot everyone.

Why dont you get the K20A? Its 6300 for motor, tranny, ecu, LSD and wiring harness. Granted you only have 5,000 but if you sell your K20A3 you will have the money for the swap and about 200 whp. Thats the first thing I would do.

Dont do a swap. I would get the coilovers and 17 inch lightweight rims and good tires. Get the normal upgrades like an aem cai, dc headers and get the borla exhaust when it comes out. Then get the hondata when they get the bugs worked out in the coming year. Then save the extra $3000 for the jackson racing supercharger when it somes out this year. 30-45 horsepressure all over the rpm range. Plus its 50 state legal if that matters. Just my .02

Yea, but your just a newbie, so no one cars about your.....wait I'm a noob too.....nobody cares about OUR .02 cents...heheh:). But really, I'm sorta with you on this. I think wheels, suspension, and maybe some basic engine mods that could be used on a swap later. Hondata wouldn't be such a bad investment, if you got a swap, they would probably cut you a deal getting your ECU reprogramed for your new engine. This is basically my long term plan, I really really want a K20A. But I want to get some basics over with first. Oh  , and while we are spending your money for you. You need a carbon fiber hood, some CTR headlights with HID, Type-R body kit, heck just get CTR everything....heheh. And back to the .02 thing, I can say all this and not be taken seriously, haven't graduated from Noob status yet...heh:D

Edit:
It appears that I have graduated, wonder when that happened.

WHAT DO YOU WANT? 1) GO FAST OR 2) LOOK COOLER
Because the car already looks pretty cool. Wheels I would go for, but I couldn't find any truly lightweight VolkRacing WHeels. They were all over 17, 19, 22 lbs and shit. If I spend that much on wheels they better not weigh over 12 or 13 lbs. With that much money, shit I wouldn't know where to start. . . Oh Yeah!! THE ENGINE. Unless you can find a bodykit that will give you 20 or 30 Horse (phuckin doubt it).

if you have an extra $5k now, you should have it again, if it's just an "extra" $5k.

i think i would get what i don't have, right now. you have a motor. i'd get what i could now & then when i have my next "extra" 5k, then i'd look @ a motor. maybe by then, my current motor would be broken-in prety good.

as far as volks.

What should you buy for $5K? Citigroup (C) at anything under $32 per share; Altria (MO) at anything under $37.

You asked. That's what you should buy.

I Like Mechanic's answer. Smart play on stocks would end up buying all you want on your EP and A Phucking House!!
