Steering wheel problem...I don't have red stitching, what to do?

I noticed that I do not have the red stitching on the steering wheel, yet mostly every ep I've seen, '02s and '03s have it. I have an '02 and its only about 2 weeks old. I want to call the Honda dealership I went through and see what they can do. Do you think they can do anything at all? Grrr I want the damn stitching :D

I don't have red stitching either and I'm kind of pissed about it. I haven't tried my luck at the dealer yet. I've had it for almost 3 months now and I wonder if maybe it's been too long to do anything abouit it.

Hopefully they will do something for me instead of just saying, oh too bad. I'm really ticked off about it that they didn't even try to mention it too me also...oh well, all I can do is hope for the best. Anyone with a aftermarket wheel wanna trade their stock one for mine :D :D

if anyone at your dealer knows anything about anything their just gonna laugh at you.

By end of 2003 all wheels will be without red stitching

Its also Impossible for it to be an EX wheel cause they have 4 spokes and only come plastic, not Leather Wrapped

everything I see and read says that the 03 wouldn't have it, I assumed they would phase it in gradually (half model year)

So I called and the guy I went through to get my car didn't even know about what color the stitching was, but said that if need be, they would replace it. So I was forwarded to the service dept. and the guy there didn't know about the stitching either, so he said he would ask his "parts guy" and call me back.

I didn't specify earlier but mine is also 02. I called to speak to the gal that sold mine and she doesn't even work there anymore. This other chick didn't know what the f _ _ _ I was talking about so I guess I'll just have to go down there.

yeah.. i was wondering about if the 2003 SIs had red stiching on their steering wheels.. cause i remember when i got my car serviced for the 10000 mile check up. i wasl ooking through the 2003 si brocher just to check it out.. and i noticed that in those pictures it didn't have the red stiching in it.. so i just assumed that 2003 didn't come with it anymore for some dumb reason, but now i'm hearing that some do, and some don't.. weird..

I was just looking at Honda.com and was checking the interior shots gallery. Looks like the steering wheel doesnt have red stitching. Maybe when they were making the wheels they ran out of red or somethin...all I know is that at least some 2003s DO have red stitching since I have red on my blue ep

So I finally got in touch with Honda and they are goin to replace the wheel under warrenty, so I'm happy now. Maybe they'll give me something else for free since it took them a week just to tell me what they would do! Well, I'm done ranting now...thanks for listening...

What did you say to get them to give you a new steering wheel? Maybe I can use the same approach.

I just told the salesguy that sold me my car that I received a black stitched wheel with my car instead of a red stitched one. So he told me to call a certain parts guy there, which I did, and the parts guy checked other ep's on the lot, saw that they had the stitching and called me and told me that they would have the wheel in next monday and that he would call me about coming in and that it would be all under warrenty. Hope that helps!
