intake sound...

Hey guys.. I installed my intake about 2 weeks ago... lovin it, it sounds great, especially at WOT. I just got the ebay intake but probably will swap to a CAI when I feel the need/later on :D Anyways... I've been noticing this PFFFFFFFFFF sound when turning off my car. Most of the other guy's cars w/ intakes do it too, but are our cars abnormally louder? Thanks.........

I remember I read about that sound somewhere and just yesterday I started to think what the heck is that sound when I turn off my car and now I know.

i just installed my AEM yesterday...that pffffffft sound after i turned off my car really bothered me....thank God it's normal woooohooooooooooooooo i love the sound my CAI makes :D

It is the sound of the vaccum in you intake being released because the engine stopped sucking in air (cause the car is off).

The stock airbox is more restrictive, so there was less of an effect origionally, on top of the fact that the stock airbox was a trade off of performance for silence, for the casual driver.

In a nutshell, it's perfectally normal.

...And it sounds cool too ;)
