at least from this photo - I can't see any differences in the head castings. Do the cyl. heads have a stamp or designation cast into them anywhere? It would be very interesting if they have the same number designation.

sounds promising. my friend has been telling me to just get the head from the type s, but i kept telling him nobody is sure it will work yet. sounds good though.:)

It looks the same to me. Interesting...it would be nice to be able to just swap the head and keep the engine I broke in myself. Swapping a whole engine seems like driving a used car.

Using that philosophy then I guess I'm driving a newer car.
(Miles at time of swap: 4437....miles on A2 swapped in: 3000)

This is just obivious eye candy, anyone who knows about this swap can see that very little modification is required to get to type-s. Soon this will be another "how-to" which I hope to explain for others, a better head is a good thing imho!:D
