Tyre R style EL glow shiftknnob install *PICS*

I just got my new shift knob, its very close to the silver color of the dash, and is very heavy (steel i think) it has the shift pattern engraved through the top and red/orange EL glo behind it. I wired it to come on with my headlights. The install was a bit tricky it came with an inverter you have to wire in, and the knob itself has 2 wires coming out of it. I used peices of the stock knob to hold the boot up [note: im getting the ITR leather boot - looks much better] Overall i am happy with the look in the day and night. . espically at night, it matches the dash lights M5 style :D

Looks nice. Any reason why you took out the right cover for the optional cigarette accessory on the console?

i'm gettin the blue LED knob..... i'm convertin all my interior lights to blue.

found the knob on ebay and the little circle panel is out just because i just finished the install in that pic - its all back together now

Thanks for the pics JO3y!... I got mine on Ebay, too. There are a ton of 'em in blue, red and purple, all buy it now $25.00... can't wait... I am gettin' the 96-00 Type R Shift boot that matches the steering wheel and seats, so it should turn out pretty neat.
