So, I work for this computer hardware company and I need to drive from Carlsbad, Ca (North San Diego) to Torrance, Ca which is about 200 miles round trip. The problem is that its raining really hard. So I figure that its going this is going to suck, it will be dangerous and everyone will be driving slow, plus you always have to put your defroster on, blah blah blah.
So, I jump on the freeway but its actually moving fairly well and i maintain about 60mph. After Im about 20mi outside of the city, there is more room to drive so I speed up but its still raining. I look down:eek: and see that Im going 80+mph and it feels great. Its pouring rain and im speeing up to 90mph in the fast lane just flying past other cars. I couldnt believe it!! Up ahead I see this yellow speck and it turns out to be this sick WRX w/ black 17s, and exhaust plus whatever else and I pass him going 90. He pulls out into the fast lane and jets up behind me and stays glued to my ass for a few minutes then just screams past me when he gets the chance, probably doing 110+mph. That all wheel drive im sure is nice during the rain. anways, we play cat and mouse for a good 20 minutes or so. I was just really impressed how solid and secure I felt going that fast in the rain. Mind you this was on the stock tires/rims/suspension. I only have SRI. Ive got 5k mi on my ride now and I love it more everyday.
