...Went to gas up my car tonight and noticed something missing.
Didn't notice any tampering with the filler door. WTF could'a happened to the missing piece?

I barely noticed that yesterday when I went to fill up. I thought it was pretty odd but didn't worry about it too much.

Yet another Honda cost-cutting measure, I guess.

Please explain what "missing piece" you are referring to?

I think they're talking about the small, metal, circular door that covers the opening of the hole that's usually on other cars.

Makes it easier to have kids put sugar in your gas tank!

I noticed this the first time I filled up the car.
I've never given it a second thought.
I believe a lot of cars are like this...

My brother's 2000 accord is the same, maybe it's a new honda thing?

honda has taken them out a few years back. i remeber having hard time taking the nozzle out of my 88 prelude. i ended up bending it. my 99 civic had it, but the 2001 CR-V did not. It may alo depend on the country of assembly.
