I have seen the Civic Si and the RSX. The problem is that where I live(Puerto Rico) the Honda Civic Si is almost $2,000 more than a basic RSX. They share the same engine and the RSX has 16 inch wheels and some other goodies. What would you do? What about future mods? The RSX and the Si will share the same mods? I dont know but if the price for the Si doesnt change I think I will take the RSX.

If you buy the RSX, you will be constantly reminded you settled for less when a Type-S rolls by. If you buy an Si, all you have to do is hope Honda doesn't bring the Type-R over. The Si is *a lot* more rare to the road than the RSX, at least where I live. I still have yet to see another Si on the street.

this is an "Si" owners board, so i think most of us would say buy the Si. for anyone that wanted the rsx instead, well, they should've bought that...DUH.

If you ask me, for $2000 LESS I'd get the RSX. I'm a cheap bastard though!

Haha that puts it best...if you go for an RSX you might as well just go for the Type S.

First let me tell you the prices in Puerto Rico for this cars:

2002 Civic Si $27,000
2002 RSX $25,000
2002 RSX-S $31,000(if you get a good salesman)

I think that the cars are way overpriced here in PR but the RSX is in my top choice right now unless they want to sell the Si at the RSX price.

Puerto Rico is not in South America. It is a commonwealth of the United States, an island by Cuba and Haiti.

My mistake. I was in the dominican republic and ended up chatting about cars with one of the employees from the resort. He was going over the cost of cars there, and the prices were nuts.

I would not buy any of those cars for those prices.

I would assume the cost of cars would be the same in Hawaii as well, its an island pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

The WRX costs $30,000 here. The thing is that a car here is almost $4-5,000 more than in the States. Honda/Acura have a monopoly here with these cars so they can charge whatever they want(Honda S2000=$55,000). I went to see the Corvette Z06 and you know how much $$$$??? 85,000 US dollars. Puerto Rico is a US Colony, one of the oldest colonies in the world and one of the few remaining, what a shame.................
