I had to remove the passenger seat to install an amp, connected both leads back to the seat and now the SRS light is on. Would this be something I could just reset by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes? or is it something the dealer needs to reset? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, the dealer has a special thing that re-sets the computer. I've been going through a testing process with my car, and they've left it un-set until they have the job completed.

I've had no chance to try this, but here's a how-to you can try.

I had the same problem. If you have side air bags you might be in luck with the reset. If not, guess what? They had to replace the entire srs controller in mine. So beware on what you mess with in these cars. They almost made me pay for it or take out the system. Well, eventually, i did take out the system. Part of which is because my mother in-law drives the car now. Good luck with your problem.
