Has anyone ever bought an engine off one of these sites?

They have an rsx-s engine there, but the car looks pretty totaled. Any thoughts?

They want $5600 for it shipped! It only has like 1489miles on it.
I think that is steep. I askked about the damage it had in the from of the car, the guy said only the body, rad, and frame was damaged, the motor and trans is not damaged. He said they checked it out and warranty it.

That's way too much for a K20A2!!:eek: I've seen other sites selling K20A's for that money (the JDM Type R motor from the DC5R w/220HP).

for $200 more u can get a K20A (type r) motor from www.hmotorsonline.com they have some in stock too i been there.

Just to let you know, I contacted that same company and they said they wanted $4,250 shipped to my door for the EXACT same motor. Its also been on ebay like 5 times. On the home page of their website, they have a link to where you can look at the engine and the car itself. Its been on that site for like 2 months now. If I were you I would definitely not pay that much for that swap. They don't seem to be a reputable company at all IMO. Hope this helps.

if you swap a k20a (type r) wont you have some problems with the smog and stuff? or is there a way to get around that?

Oh man...that engine would make our Si's kick so much ass...of course it's so much money that I could probably get the HKS kit for that money and blow right by anybody with the K20A

Or you could buy the A2, and spend the $2k+ you saved on the R motor and buy all the toda ish and whoop the R motor's arse ;)
