hondata will be better for the track and daily driving.

does the Hondata have nitrous controls like the AEM? Sorry I'm not even sure if AEM has a unit for the new Si's.

No, Hondata has no provisions for nitrous. Also, AEM does have something out (I could be wrong) but you have to tune it. The Hondata reflash has already been tuned on the dyno. BUT, the AEM can continually be tuned as you keep on modding your car. Something that Hondata can't offer. (At least not cheaply.)

i was looking at getting a AEM EMS for my car (99 Si) a few months ago. 2 things I really liked about it was that it had automapping. so you could buy a wideband O2, pick the a/f ratio you wanted to have, drive, and it would making the changes for you. and number 2 it had nitrous control feature. I will turn the nitrous on and off, and had a separate fuel map for when you were spraying.

edit: I'm getting off track sorry. I'd go with the hondata standalone.

I have a cousin that has a spec v, and the car is a monster on the bottle..50shot..It's tempting to just throw in a bottle and be done with it, but just like WENDEY'S I dont like cutting any corners..

do you want to gain 3 hp or 50 hp??
THAT is the question.

Hondata, you'll have power all the time, increased rev limiter, and better powerband. Nitrous is only for short bursts.

Another question is, Do you want nitrous or a car?...booooom

People's lack of knowledge when it comes to nitrous amazes me. Bioevolve blew his engine on a 100+ shot and with it not being tuned correctly.

You can SAFELY run a 50 shot ALL THE TIME. While I agree, I like the increased rev limiter and the ability to finish the quarter in third. Finishing it in the 14's would also be nice.

It's somewhat risky, but most are addicted to it after a few squirts, and want more. That's why it becomes hard to temper your shots and avoid the inevitable damage from overdose. You can be a happy camper with moderate shots for long periods of time as many will attest.:)

I've been running a 75 shot for almost 3 weeks now. No problems, other than loss of traction:D .. and this stupid CEL keeps popping up because it's running rich. (I believe).

But if I do blow up my enigne, I'll rebuild it to take a 150-200 shot.

That's the type of statement made by people who:
(a) never used nitrous
(b) used nitrous improperly
(c) are just plain ignorant

It has nothing to do with being ignorant! I've used nitrous before on my old civic..but after a while you can just feel your engine suffering...It's very tempting to just throw a bottle in my car, but i want somthing that is going to be in good shape all the time...
