I can get a really good deal on this Kenwood powered subwoofer... I'm just wondering if it is any good.

I know very little about car audio.

I just want to get a little extra kick from my stock system by upgrading the rear speakers to 2-ways and adding a MODEST subwoofer.

I know that I could probably run this with the stock deck by using a line-level converter.

I can get this for about $180.00 Canadian. Should I? Or should I go for a different set up?

All input is appreciated... Just keep in mind I want to keep as much trunk space as possible and that I am looking for a very modest stereo upgrade.

yea its a nice sub on a budget, small foot print and its an 8" sub= tight bass. You won't beable ro turn it up that loud because it will sound BOOOOMy but it will be nice for moderate listening. :D

I've had Kenwood Home equipment for years. GREAT stuff. High quality. The problem is they are becoming way overpriced and a little over-rated. But if you've got a good deal on that, I'd jump.
Another option www.etronics.com search for Bazooka sub enclosures (amplified). Good prices. I also had a 6 1/2" amped Bazooka. Also very excellent stuff.

The amp has speakerlevel inputs so you do not need to buy a line-level converter.
