Hood Pins for Carbon Fiber Hood?

I'm getting a carbon fiber hood in March. I plan on taking it to a shop to have holes drilled for the windshield squirters. My question is do you guys think I should get hood pins installed as well? I've just heard many horror stories of hoods flying open on the freeway. Thanks.

That depends on how well the hood latch secures itself. If you have any doubts then do it....

As long as your new hood retains the original fixings for the saftey catch of your original one, theres no probs , if not sort it out and get some pins

get Fiber Images CF hood ... their hood fits perfect like OEM , never had problems with them .. when i had my DC2

I agree 100%, I had a c/f hood on my EG and didn't need hood pins and I had many 140 mph adventures on the fwy.

anyone here ever buy one from VIS? How is the hood pin issue on these? any needed?
