Decided to paint my headlights.

Removing front bumper and lights took about 10 minutes w/o instructions.
I put the lights in the oven (FUCKING SCARY) at 275 degrees F for about 5 minutes with no pre-heating.
The adhesive on the lights is really tough and tacky so I slowly pryed a few sections at a time and put pencils into gaps I had already formed. I had to put it back in the oven a few times for about 45 seconds to loosen the glue again. (JUST ON THE FIRST ONE). The second one went alot quicker.
Now I'm waiting for the paint to dry on the pieces. I painted everything except for the top and sides of the parking light area. I'll take a pic when I'm fininshed.
This is a really easy project. It should take me about 4 hours total. That is without rushing at all. I'll post info on the whole re-sealing part.

You're lucky if you can do a good job in four hours. It took me a long, long, long time. Mine look damn good though.

I'll post some pics. So far, knock on wood, nothing damage at all. Perfect masking too. Any tips on the re-sealing process?
Thanks

but on my way to lake tahoe a few weeks ago, i was in the back country roads and all of a sudden, some bird flew right in front of me, i was going like 70 and i heard a thud. craziest thing ever happened to me! good thing it didn't leave a dent :p , but i did kinda feel bad for the bird...

..............waiting for roommate with digital camera to wake up......

The weird thing about the bird is I hit it a few months back and found the body behind the "Si" part of the grill.

Holy crap you painted the whole side marker area! How visible is it now, when you're signal's on? Does look good though!

The blinker is fine. There isn't as wide of a pattern when it blinks, but it does its job fine.

I think this is the best way to go with a black car. The clear side looked kind of odd to me.

Nice job! Question.

How did the new front bushings work out? Notice any diff in handling?

tks.

The handling feels much better.
The actual bushing does not sit completely flat against the chasis. If you look under at your car, you'll see it has a little dip. There is still enough room on the sides of the dip for the bushing.
I think I have the universal bushings, there may be a specific set just for the Si. But, what I have now does the job just fine.

The paint I used is just some hi-temp paint in semi-gloss black.

I bought hi-temp just because it was the only one avaliable in semi-gloss
