Went to one of the truck stops off of I-35 W and used their scales today.

Gross weight with me (135 lbs) + FULL tank of gas (81 lb) =

2760 lbs

so.... 2760-135-81= 2544 lbs

going off the idea that 1 gallon of gas equals 6.17 lbs, if im wrong please tell me and I will refigure.

This weight of gas sounds more reasonable since gas is lighter than water!!

Wow that sounds really light. I wonder how accurate those scales are. I am going to be weighing mine soon too, maybe then I'll find out.

Those truck stops usually weigh trucks that are like 10 tons plus. I doubt they'd be accurate for a passenger car.

and since they are the State of Texas (Agriculture Department) weigh scales, they are the most accurate you can get, and passenger cars are heavy enough to be weighed.

and the last truck they weighed was over 77000 lbs which equals to over 38 tons

2920 - 220(me) = 2700

mine weighed 2905 with me in it...and I weigh 185 :p
