high idle at start

I would like to know if any one elses car does this. When i start my car after being off for a while it idles at 1500 then after warming up it drops to about 900 1000. I would like to know if this is normal or should i take it in to the dealer.

its normal you should warm it up everytime..

yes this is normal, it takes longer during cold days too...which means up here I'm freezing my ass off for like 20 minutes waiting for the sucka to warm up fully...sheesh...and the ice...don't get me started about the ice.

Oh, using synthetic should lower this wait time.
