decent price BUT dont forget, you'll have a very hard time finding JUST a tranny, and all the other misc. parts you'll need to do the swap.... $$$$!!!

it is not completely necessary to have the 6sp transmission. it would be nice, but not a definite have to.
what else would be required?

not really...
you'll also need to get the immobilizer reprogrammed to work with the Civic...
the K20A2 catalytic converter assembly...
the RSX Throttle Cable...
etc...

the cat is only needed if you want to use the type-s header.

how is the rsx throttle cable different?

I may sound unorthdox, but is it possible to add 6th gear to the stock Si tranny? does the whole tranny need to be replaced with the RSX-s unit? How would the shifter linkage work, since the Si shifter is in different location form RSX-S?
No, I am not planning on doing it anytime soon, but just wondering what the possibilities are. Would it be just as expensive to replace the engine and tranny at the same time, rather than just the tranny?
My main complain with the Si is the high cruising RPM, which directly affects me in the pocket, and the environment. Will having 6ht gear bump up the mileage to mid-upper 30 mpg's?
Thanks
