This is just a newb question, so don't get mad. Why do i see a lot more si owners putting on springs instead of coilovers? Is there something wrong with coilovers or is springs just that much better. In my town, the roads are not the greatest and i have a lot of snow in the winter. Would coilover give me a very rough ride or not? I am talking about only 1.5 inch drop with 17inch rims. And last thing what are some good brand names? Thanks to anyone that answers this!

well with the actual coilovers, we have choices from ground control, and may be skunk2. These are the only ones that i know of. This is also not including the tein flex etc...($1000+)

springs seem to be not only cost effective but less stressful on the stock shocks. Ride quality isnt sacrificed due to the extremely wonderful stock 'showa' shocks that came stock. Also, there have been numerous people claiming clunking and different noises with the ground controls.

I chose progress auto springs, but that's just me.
hope this helps
