Immobilizer chip! I used my valet chip 1 because it's already programed. I called around to see if anyone can do it n they all wanted to charge me $50+ just to program the chip.

How hard is it to chop up your key to get out the immobilizer Chip? I I only have one key and want to put on together I just ordered the $45 one mentioned on ebay.
Also I don't have the sticker on the back of my remote how will I know if the remote will be programmable without it are all 03 remotes the same Number? If so can someone hook even up with a number to provide to the Seller?
Yeah i need the fcc number from an 03 remote/fob since mine is gone too... All the cheapies on ebay come with no internals just a shell thats why i wanna know where tqk got his so i get the right one with internals
the one I bought was $45 it showed pictures with the red h it stated in its description uncut and needs no remote internals.. I'm actually thinking about getting a genuine TL switchblade key on pay day and doing 2 keys..
Geeze id think theyd be cheaper but whatever ill keep looking
So that ebay listing is legit? if I buy that, all I have to do is program it and it'll work?
i have an 02 Civic Si so would it work with my car?
Hey guys I bought a unit last year that was an easy, elegant solution. It's specifically for the ep3. Here's a current listing:
Title:
02 HONDA CIVIC SI SIR ALin1 SMART FLIP KEYLESS ENTRY CHIP KEY REMOTE TRANSMITTER
http://bit.ly/THK44h
It comes with a chip built-in.
There are 3 things to do:
1. Get the key cut (locksmith).
2. Have the internal chip coded to match your existing key (I found a locksmith who had this equipment and although he wasn't sure it would work, it did). When I was calling around I asked "I bought an aftermarket key for my Honda and I need to program the internal chip to match my original keys. If I bring in my original keys do you have the equipment to do this?" Here in Portland, A1 Security on Barbur had the equipment and did this for me.
3. Program the keyless entry (you can do this yourself. Instructions were included.)
No need to hack up your oem keys to extract a chip. The price is not cheap but the quality feels oem and it includes a thick red H sticker that covers the screw hole. I really like mine.
Thanks for the link and I'm thinking ordering this soon.
I've got one I'll give you if you pay shipping..I just bought a legit TL key this weekend!
Here are pics of the key I was talking about above.

The carbon leather cover was from a different eBay seller, also from Hong Kong.
I've got an uncut one I will give away. Pay the shipping it's yours. Bought a TL key.

Will the remote work for aftermarket alarm systems?
