Best CAI...but better with race header and exhaust.

I got the honda data mod with a small cone filter to the roof of the intake lid and extended the intake hose on the bottem of the oem air box all the way to the top of the rad support and fit and heated the oem plastic induction air funnel in between the rad support and the rad so my EP grabs "cold air" from the front of the top grill. still have to test this mod this spring! :D
I found another one you guys missed...Blitz SUS Power LM Intake

So, since there's no such thing as a stupid question.....has anyone ever shortened a short ram? I've got a DC Sports Short Ram intake, and it seems to me that since the intake manifold is on the front of the engine....near the grill...that it would be cooler if it was shorter, instead of extending back toward the exhaust manifold which is hot as ballzz.
Anyone, anyone?
I realize I'm probably over thinking the Short Ram's potential.....but, it's just a thought
Hey, I also wanted to ask about weather/water concerns/recommendations for CAIs. Someone else mentioned being in NJ, well I'm in Canada and we have wet springs and snowy winters, anyone up here or the US North west/east have any suggestions for dealing with that? I've seen some filter covers and some DIY splash guards, anything helps, thanks!
Is there a best ebay intake for the price to throw a k&n filter on? or are they all pretty much the same?
Does anyone have any details about the relationship between intake size and exhaust size? It's an airflow relationship right, I'm just wondering how it all goes together in our cars, what our k20a3 engine actually handles, etc. Is there any info like this on the boards?
Does any body have a picture of the part of the fender cover that has to be cut to install the injen intake? I found the directions online and read that a plastic part in the fender has to be cut and I was just wondering if these means that you can see part of the intake when you look inside your wheel well.
