this is harder than it looks lol, well for me that is i cant even get jack stands under my car :( wither my jack sucks and cant get my car high enough or im to low lol, and geting it to fit is pretty hard by your self to me that is not being able to get under the car that good doesnt help much either tho will re try this next weekend i guess when i get more time :(
volvo lip is now on kids only took 2 1/2 hours to do by my self :D
Does this work best with specifically the 90-94 940 or 740 lips? Or do other Volvo lips work? What about VW or BMW?
As far as Volvo's go this is the only only one that will pretty much work. I haven't experimented with anything else like VW or BMW so i can't say they fit or don't. Give it a shot... If you go to a junk yard i suggest taking a tape measure with you to to make sure its wide and deep enough to fit our bumpers. That's how i found out about this lol. I was just curious so i checked and when i finally got it under the bumper i knew i could make it work with a little tlc.
Looks like you recessed the lip in the pics before/after step 6.. OR is it just my eyes??
That's what I was thinking. Looks better that way in my opinion.

Yeah the first time i did it i had it almost flush with the edge of the bumper and i didn't really like the way it looked. It kinda almost gave it a little angle that pointed up in a way, so i bought a new one and mounted it just a little further back to have it flatten out.
As far as the pictures go in the DIY they are all from the same day...
Finally got mine on. For $10 I'm not complaining

I'm about to buy one off my buddy he has it on his volvo though. How hard are they to take off of the Volvo?
It wasn't that bad. If your getting it from the junkyard, crowbar will help. Bring a screwdriver, there was like 4 screws I had to take out. I think it's easier getting it from the junkyard, you don't have to worry about the rest of the car. We had to smash out a headlight to get down into the inside of the bumper.

Think I'm gonna get some color match paint and paint it.
