What pins do the wires go to on the relay
Thanks for this. I've been looking for it for a while.
This is the relay hookups
pin
86 - parking light positive
85 - parking light negative
87 - switched, fused, +12vdc
30 - White power wire
Yes the parking lights provide the signal to the relay to fire the relay to provide power both the lights on the switch and the power for the actual leveler function.
Do JDM spec come with the switch?
After a bit more research, pin 1 should be connected up to a (red) interior light +12vdc line and pin 2 should be connected to a red/blk wire. This allows the dash lighting to be adjustable. Seeing as I have a head unit with it's own dedicated harness, I didnt use the stock radio harness so that is where I sourced those dash illuination circuits.
what kind of fuse is needed for this?
A standard 7-10 amp fuse with a matching fuse holder.
okay. i'm going to attempt to do this myself in the near future..and im a bit confused with how everything hooks up in the picture..to confirm everything. starting off. its a power wire from the battery -> a 85-86-87-30 relay (im not sure what else to call it or if it has a common name) to the 30 spot. on the relay, the 86 get parking light positive, and 85 gets parking light negative.
can you explain what the 87 spot on the relay is going to?
moving on, what gets connected to the negative battery is a wire that connects pin 1 on both leveling motors, AND goes to pins 2 and 3 on the leveling motor switch. so its pins 2&3 connects ->through firewall->pin 1 on passenger side leveling motor ->pin 1 on driver's side leveling motor -> battery negative. correct me if im wrong please.
now that should complete the relay + battery. next is finishing up the leveling motors and the leveling motor switch.
pin 2 on the leveling motors should be connected and routed to pin 4 on the leveling motor switch yeah?
pin 3 on the leveling motors i'm guessing goes to a connection of pins 1 and 5 on the switch? is that it? should that wire also be going to the relay or something? is that where relay position 87 comes into play?
thank you for the help!
pin 87 is the 12VDC source(aka battery) and pin 30 is the 12VDC output from the relay to pins 3 on the levelers and pins 1 and 5 on the switch. I had been provided that pic, the choice for white as a wire color was not mine, it is kinda hard to follow on a white background! LOL
so who can make me a nice harness that i can plug in a factory leveling switch and that doesnt charge $100 like some vendors?
you could just do it yourself for maybe 10-20 bucks by following this thread..its not too hard and really just takes a little bit of ingenuity and the right parts from the hardware store. >.>
well i have the switch on the way from honda so are any of you guys using a connector that actually bridges the pins to the wires or is everyone just hooking the wires directly to the pins on the switch and leveling motors?
i dont think he wants to sell it to me, im gonna try and piece together the components online as soon as i figure out everything i need.
just hooked mine up. make sure you have a LOT of wire, almost ran out....also...a lot of splicing/soldering/other stuff required. x.X this took longer than it seems. lol
Does anyone know where to buy the conectors for switch and motors?
Or the part #'s
I dont know either, i just got the switch and im just having a shop wire it up. I think theres a "vendor" on here that sells it but he will take your money up front and decide 6-12 months later if he actually wants to send you the parts.
What are parking lights? Is that the same as the daytime running lights (first option on the light stalk)?
I created a revised WIRING DIAGRAM that should be easier to follow. It includes a revision so you can have the dash switch powered/dimmed with the rest of the instrument lights. Big thanks to whoever created the original diagram.
I recommend sourcing the 3 wiring sockets to make your life easier. I was able to get them from a UK eBay seller named Q-Onago.

If I may make one revision to this. The diagram you have appears as though you are running the ground from both motors and the switch together. A better, and easier circuit would be to just run each ground to the chassis whether you make a new ground or run to an existing chassis ground.
Now if some one could just tell me where to get the motor and switch for a good pice
Is Wayne even selling things anymore?
The guy sucks, he just wants you to send him money and he could care less if you get a quality part or even a part at all within a decent time frame.
Just to update, the motor connectors are the same as the TPS sensors connector. Here is link.

Someone jacked my head unit and ripped out a couple connections to my leveling motors in the process. I believe the wires that got disconnected were for pins 1 and 2, the dimmable light in the switch. Now that I only have the stock radio, where can I source these dimmable power and grounds? I would prefer to use a fuse tap so I don't need to damage the stock wiring.
Is pin 1 red and pin 2 red/black or the other way around? Talon has it one way and ragebomb has it the opposite way. I also think these are both positive + circuits yet both diagrams label them as negative -...
