wat is the purpose of the map relocator they give you in the racing kit? and if im doing a custom supercharger install, do i need it?
The Map sensor will read the air pressure your supercharger is going to make but it has to be on the boost side of the charger not the Vacuum side . the map sensor stock location is on the throttle body, when mounted on the supercharger it will only ready negative pressure, so they give you a re locator to put the map sensor on the boost side - that is your intake manifold for the charger.
Basically you install the re locater in the same post as the stock map sensor, then you install the stock map sensor onto the re locater and put a hose from the intake manifold to the re locater this will give your map sensor the boost reading required to make it work properly with the Supercharger.
