I voted and have been riding half gut for several years now and don’t plan on ever going back. There is a difference that you will feel. My ep is my dd and I feel that it’s lighter, quicker and has gotten better gas mileage ever since.

I know, old thread, but figured I'd add to it instead of making another... You guys who gutted the rears(plastic+rear seats), did you also remove the headliner? I'm considering gutting everything behind the front seats, but am curious about the headliner and how it'd look... If it doesn't weigh anything, then I'd just keep it.
never used the backseats......... half, for now.
bought some cheap floor mats from home depot to cover the fuel door.

one closest in the pic is a megan. one furthest is marked spoon, although i seriously doubt it is. the two that form the "X" are e-bay specials.
they are all rsx c-pillar spec bar.
rear strut tower bar is an e-bay special also.
i bought the two e-bay bars, the two named bars were given to me by a friend.
mussh, why'd you keep all the plastic?
i started to strip the plastic, but didnt like the way it looked. looked ghetto to me.
right now my ep3 is my dd. when i finally break down and get another dd, im going to garage my ep3 and go nuts.
interior will be completely stripped, full rollcage, welded in. when i do this, i will take the time and tuck wires and etc....etc.....
i want the time to do it right.
plus, i'd love to repaint the interior....that cool battleship gray color that i have seen a few people do. put a nice clear coat over it.....and maybe leave it bare painted metal, no flooring..........alot of maybes hahahahaha. but i do plan on making it real nice.
I may take out the plastic. I don't care what it looks like because I don't look at the back of the car when I'm in the car... only reason I'd keep it in is if there isn't much weight savings value in removing them. I imagine the panels in front of the rear speakers aren't too light.
