you can free up a ton of space with the injen SRI, dont know if the intake itself failed emissions, and stories are stories, i doubt the intake alone will make you fail emissions...but with all my mods and heavier oil i think its going to cause me to fail
i cant believe how dense some people on here are? THE BYPASS VALVE FOR THE AEM CAI DOES NOT WORK OUR VERSION OF THE INTAKE!!!
call AEM and ask them since many of you either dont know or believe this
what do you mean by this?Quote:

Sean,
You're confusing me. Why would an AEM Bypass valve work on an Injen SRI? That seems like common sense if you ask me.
Perhaps I didn't make myself completely clear. I still hear stories about AEM's bypass valve on a ... Cold Air Intake (that's the CAI I put in my post) not preventing hydrolock.
im saying theres plenty of retards that still think the bypass valve is compatible with the aem cai despite having seen people like me saying it doesnt...
im saying the injen sri is better than the aem cai cause its a shitload easier to put on and change the filter. besides that you can actually see it
The Bypass valve is compatible with the CAI, you just have to cut the CAI in two and put the bypass inbetween the two halves.
No, actually, it isn't. In our car to cut it in half and put the bypass valve on would place the valve at the wrong angle and to far down or to far up the pipe there by making it NOT work -- presssure/gravity/placement makes it impossible.Quote:

Call AEM, I gauranfuckintee it doesnt work. Hence my Short Ram... I live where it rains and snows.
This sums it up for meQuote:

How do you know when and if a company fakes numbers? How do you know AEM didn't??? And I'm assuming you also know that your stock box is better than most intakes and has more low end power than the AEM one?
Taikan is absolutely correct, call AEM, they can verify...Quote:

Wheres the option "saving money for turbo" no need for intake?
I vote on my custom made intake made by me. Why, it didint cost me nothing, i just welde some alum and added a filter.:D
unless you are getting the JRSC...Quote:

I have an AEM CAI, but haven't installed it yet, but I vote for Comptech because of no worries on hydrlock issues. If AEM can't out preform Comptech then Icebox all the way. Gonna change to Icebox when I get a good feel of the CAI.
Injen sri. Just to be safe from hydrolock.
