update: my CEL came on at just under 800 miles. I reset my ECU and gonna hope it doesn't come back.
The Caspers Sim will trick emissions but if you have to pass a sniffer you're probably screwed. Also, even if you don't have a sniffer test for a couple years (like in MA) most testers will notice that your car smells funny.

yup its a caspers. Sorta disappointed that it gave me a CEL. From what I'd read if you used the sim right away (when taking off the cat) you were good to go. Have no clue why it came on. Any ideas?
Anj, id try a couple things. See if you can get under the car to look at the LED on the sim and see if its still flashing with the same pattern as before. If it is, id take the car to autozone, pepboys, or another auto store with free diagnostic testing to verify that the CEL is from the header. Let me know what happens.

Phil, I'll have to try and go underneath the car this week to see what the LED pattern is. I did take my car to autozone and they did scan it. It was a CEL due to 02 sensor error.Quote:

I'm wondering if the race header isn't causing another problem. Like
fsu said, I'd try to read the code if it comes on again.
Why do you recommend motor mounts with the race header?
the tubes on the racing header are quite large, and theres 1 tube for each cylinder, making space very tight. If you don't get motor mounts the motor will rock back and forth, thus moving the header and it will bang against the swaybar. In fact, if you buy the header from comptech, they include motor mounts for "free" because the swaybar will hit otherwise.
