My opinion on the matter is I don't like it. This is only because I prefer a nice paint finish than a flat matte color.
That being said, I DO plan on doing this to my car, and I know I sound contradicting but I'm a function type of person. I'll be doing it because I want to preserve the finish of my paint while I daily my EP3 until the day I decide to retire her from daily driving and enjoy her on auto-x/track days where the vinyl will be coming off and the 3M painter's tape will suffice lol.
In addition, if rolling around in flat matte color vinyl is what's trendy and people like it even thoguh I don't necessarily, then that works okay for me too. Even if it wasn't "cool" or trendy I'd still do it just because my paint won't get fucked up my rocks, idiots, or solar damage.

why even have the car if you're that worried about it? i'm all for taking good care of the car and washing it and shit but there's a point where it just becomes overkill haha
