tire width?

has anyone ever put 205/55 or 205/60's on stock rims? was wondering if they fit cuz i'm thinking i shoudl save the money and just buy tires instead of rims & tires for auto-x... how wide are our rims anyways?

If I didn't remember wrong, i think the rims are 6" wide. I don't think putting either 205/55 or 60 will cause a problem.

And to wrap things up, "no," I don't have em on my rims, wait for my stock ones to burn out. :'( Gonna take a long...... time
