Question about amp remote controller

I bought a kicker KX300.2 for my sub from eBay. The description says that it comes with a "remote gain controller with 20-foot cable "
Where should I put this remote on the dash?
Does anyone know what this stuff looks like(pic)?

I am going to have 2 remotes, one for my DEI 1100d and one for my AudioControl Epicenter. Bought em both used, so I don't have them right yet. But, I am going to pop out one or two of the blank cover slots that are on the dash and dremel out the holes I need to mount the knobs as close to stock looking as I can.

Just a suggestion.

Yep, it IS a knob. One of them is just a knob and the other is a knob with an LED, so I am going to take the cover off, and use just the insides.
