    Tein SS

With the recent news that the basic kit wont be available till end of summer it got me thinking about moving up in Tein's product line. Ive done some research and found the SS kit available for only $1099 from http://www.apexr1.com/teinsscoilov1.html however, they have it listed for the 01+ civic, and at http://www.redlineautosport.com/inde...0#HONDA_TEINSS for $1187 including shipping for the EM2/ES1/EP3.

Tein's website lists the basic damper specs and part # as the same for the EM2/ES1 and the EP3 so I would assume that would carry over for the SS kit. With dampening adjustability a major factor for suspension upgrading, I see the SS kit as a much better option than the soon to be released basic kit that is only height adjustable with an MSRP of $990.

Id like to hear any comments or suggestions that you guys/ladies have as I am in desperate need of struts and looking to pick up a full coilover kit within the next few weeks. Do you think that these will work with our car?

That sounds like the way to go especially if the SS only costs a fraction more.

Call Tein and they will tell you what modifications will need to be made to the SS for proper fit.
To make a long story short the mounting point on the strut body need to be enlarged by 2mm. Tein will give you all instructions on how to do this!
    Good luck.

I've got them on my car. Read my comments in the Rave & Review section of the website.
