Off Centered Lisence Plate...

Does anyone know if it's illegal if you put the lisence plate off centered to leave the intake hole open in California?

Seems perfectly legal to me. My moms plymouth minivan has the plate mounted on the corner of the bumper towards the driver side.

I don't see why you can't, I was thinking of doing it, would give it a cool jdm look too, since most ppl in godzilla land have them off centered.

I think they'll only hassle you if you dont have a front plate at all.
