whats the easiest or best way to remove those "i-vtec" decals? Should I use some kind of thinner like lighter fluid?

The easiest way to get them off (other than the slow-but-sure method w/ a credit card), is to heat them (carefully!) with a heat gun. They almost jump off. The sticky residue comes off with turpentine (NOT paint thinner or any lacquer remover, either of which will definately take paint off your car). Turpentine is harmless to dried paint.
And, I haven't decided if I want to take mine off. Heck, I'm even thinking about adding a BIG Honda sticker (6"x48") to each side.
I'm thinking about taking the side stickers off. I don't like how the i looks. Maybe if it was I-VTEC instead of i-VTEC. I don't know, stupid I guess. I may take the side ones off and get some DOHC stickers to replace them. Not sure yet.Originally posted by SpacemanSpiff
Did you remove the I-Vtec stickers? What about the badges?
I was considering removing the Civic and leaving the SI badge, it would really confuse people.
I think for now I'm going to leave mine on and probably add some more today...LOL! My ephatch.com decals should be here today and I have K&N stickers to add as well. :)
yea that K&N sticker will give you 5 HP for sure.

Now that I know that the "VTEC" system only has a low profile cam for the intake that switches over to the normal cam lobe at 2200rpm(!), I don't want to go around with big stickers trumpeting the "VTEC" engine. There is no high rpm cam lobe for the Si. I'm getting rid of my side stickers.
Took it off the first day I owned my car. I removed the civic about a month ago.
here is a pic of a white SiR without ivtec.

removed the i-Vtec crap and the civic badge from the hatch --- pics in my thread -- see "taikahn - Denver, Colorado" in the "Members Rides" for pics...
This last weekend I added the grille-tech black metal race grill to the front, tinted the front side orange reflectors to near black.... I also put stickers from the tuning place I go to and what not in a stealth location --- pics soon of that.
I think the Si without stickers and less of the colored reflectors everywhere looks great. With them its too busy.

detail dept. or shop should have what they call prep solvent
to remove the glue on badges/the stickers use a heatgun or strong hair dryer and they peel off/use prep solvent to remove any glue residue
so far all i've taken off is the civic emblem in the rear:)
I took my stickers and my rear civic badge off.
Car looks nice and clean.
my front si got stolen i want to remove my i-vtec looks like crap...i was thinking about removing the civic and the si emblems on the back and putting a civic hybrid emblem or a the other hybrid emblem on...confuse alot of people...
