    more space

Just removed my back seats and made a custom enclosure for my spare tire. My spare is a konig like the rest so I felt the need to show it off. I recarpeted the back of my car and made it look as factory as possible. Future plans call for a single 10" sub, an amp, and a nitrous bottle all flush mounted in a custom enclosure where my back seats used to be. I'm trying to keep it as light and clean as possible. I'll let you know when I get done. I'll post pisc as soon as someone shows me how.

Have you measured the weight of the back seat?
Just curious what the weight reduction would be...
(you could take your car to a truck scale, if there's
a close one, and see what the difference is).

Hey, andywrx, I did a real careful measurement of all the back end stuff one rainy day last year.

I weighed 130 on the scale alone, and 134 with certain part held over my head, then the part must weigh roughly 4lbs and so on.

    here's the results: http://www.dmcknight.net/ep3hack/weight_reduction/

I'm guessing about 75 pounds, give or take 10 pounds, weight reduction. It looks really nice too.:D

Cool, thanks for the info fellas.

Oh, and BlasTech...sorry, but can't help laughing
at the thought of someone going part by part
on the scale...lol. I really need to get off my arse
now and go weigh some of my own parts (selling
the rims on my car, and need to weigh the suckers
    for shipping).
