people who have installed their own head unit!

hey can you guys tell me what the dimensions of your headunit is? i dont know if this dimension will fit in my Si:
    178 (W) x 50 (H) x 158 (D) mm
    7 (W) x 1-15/18 (H) x 8-1/4 (D) inches

i looked on crutchfield for a alpine headunit that will fit my car, and the width and height are the same, except the depth is 15mm less than the specs up there, so i dont know if the headunit i want will fit in.

don't worry about the depth, there is enough space behind there for any type of headunit to be installed

Which Alpine headunit were you thinking of getting? I have the CDA-7995 and it fits no problems.

    Size

You won't have a single problem with that Nak. It is a single DIN size. It will fit perfectly.

And a DAMN good choice, if I may add.

Yeah you may just have to watch how you run the wiring but other than that you won't have any problems.

Yeah, definitely watch the wiring. If you have a friend available call them over. Seeing as though I had 3 sets of patch cords run back there it started getting a little tight. As my brother slowly pushed in my headunit I slowly pulled the rca's down to make more room. Worked perfectly.....:D
