Hey everyone. I bought a CTR shift boot off of a guy in the UK a while back. The funny thing is that the only diference between our shift boot and their shift boot is a tiny tiny plastic chromed cap that sit's on the top of the boot. Anyways, I made 2 copies of the clip. They're made out of clear acrylic, so you'd have to paint them silver. But hey, they work, and the price is excellent.........free! The only thing I ask is that

#1. You must post pics of the boot clip installed on your ride. That way other people can see the pics and e-mail me if they want me to make them one. and

#2. You have to send me something back, I dont care what it is, It can be a $2 spoon sticker, a naked picture of your sister, or a crisp $1 dollar bill. I dont care, this is more of a fun thing for me, so whoever will promis to take pics, and send me something cool will get one. Just send me a PM, first come first serve.

i pm'ed him but no response. i am tryin to get one too....i got my boot held on under my shift knob now with a zip tie. it will be ok for the time being but i want it to look better than what it does now. if i could only get my hands on the O ring from the 92-95 civic shift boots. anyone got one??

Well, I use a selfe curing acrylic to make the clips. First I take the clip itselfe and with a selfe setting putty material, I make part 1 of the mold, I then make a second part of the mold, remove the clip, then mix up and pour the acrylic into the mould. I then place the mould into a pressure pot and leave it under pressure for about 10min. After that i cut away the mold, trim the excess acrylic, and polish it. It takes at least 15 min of labour for each clip, not to mention that the acrylic I use comes in 1 pound bags at $60/lb, and the putty I use to make the moulds is around $60/1L tub. So I cant see myselfe making many more of these for pretty much free. Not to mention the mailing costs.

I also made my friends a few custom items. I made a pink shift knob, shaped like a heart for a girl that I know, and a clear type R style one as well. But seeing as acrylic doesent stand up to heat too well, I'm kind of limited to "interior" mods.
