stock stereo is about a 6.
on a scale of 1 to 10 or something
is it better than a 2001 cavelier's stock speakers? i read a post from somone about how they had probs with the speakers
are they nice? can you hear every note? heh
stock stereo is about a 6.
I'd give it a 4 or 5. It is not as good as the wife's VW Monsoon stereo in her Golf. And that one is not perfect either, lots of room to improve.
Can you explain what parts of the system are good and what are bad:)
I'd give it a 7.
It seems like the stock speakers can't handle much from the stock deck.
I'd switch them out for 4 new speakers (not sure of size). What will that run about 175-200 ???? for decent ones that are way better than stock
I give our systems a solid 4.
maybe a 5 considering it has a theft deterrent system. don't want anybody stealing my stock deck....( note the sarcasm in that)
6... 7 if i hadnt had to tighten the rears..
I give it a 5-6. It ok But not all that great.
4 the speakers SUCK! :) but that just makes me listen to i vtec more :) --joe
Definately no higher than a 5.
Even my Focus had a 6 disc in-dash changer, automatic volume control as the speed increased/decreased, automatic protection from clipping, a removable security strip, and significantly better sound.
Sure, everything else about the car sucked... but still, I miss some decent things like the stereo. But as a whole I'm glad to be rid of it--it was a lemon.
= )
i may end up buying some new speakers then well
ill have to judge for myself but it sounds like its either average or somewhat below average quality
I would rate it a 5.
I have been told, however, that the speakers in our cars are very good! Replacing the head unit with a higher wattage one is supposed to work wonders!
I will let you know soon, as I plan to install a Pioneer DEH-P8400MP as soon as crutchfield or metra stock the dash kit (about a week or two left).
