Replica or the real thing?

I got a friend who works with AIT - a replica manufacturer and distributor and he can get me the buddy club kit for insanely cheap. From what I heard of replicas, they dont fit correctly, pain in the ass to put it on and at times, even need to be chopped. I would like to hear some opinions from anyone who owns a real/replica of the BC kit. The real BC kit is fiberglass also am i correct?

real one is reinforced fiberglass, very strong stuff, very pricey. But yeah, generally replica stuff fits like ass; esp over time when the mold starts to change shape :D
