    Does anyone have this setup?

I am looking at getting 225/40/17's with a drop of 1"-1.25". Can anyone tell me out of experience with an Ep if this not rub in any way?

I have not decided on rims yet. I'm kind of working backwards here. I want 225/40/17 so that I can keep the speedo as close as possible. I need 17's for the brakes I want. I want to be dropped 1"-1.5" so that the ride quality does not suffer too badly. That leaves me with "What size rime do I need in order to not rub the wheel well or body in any way?" I asked my original question b/c I was looking for real world input, not just word of mouth. However, it does pretty much boil down to the rims. I would say the rim width will probably be 7.0. What offest would I need to get in order to fit without rubbing? No matter how much I read, offset still does not really make sense to me.

225s fit fine as long as you stick with a 7 inch width and an offset of +42 or so. Don't go less than +37 or more than +45.

Please, somebody correct me if your experience is different.

Edit: I'm assuming your camber is within specs.
